These files (also called secondary files) are converted to a standardised format automatically or manually during migration. If the destination folder is not selected the converted file is placed in the same location as of the source file. While converting the TCP, a different file name can be given. If no filename is specified, the TCP is converted with the same name, and the original file is suffixed with.BAK. Case 1: Conversion without specifying the destination file name or specifying the same file name in the destination file box 1. In the File Type, select the f ile type as TCP and select the file Sample TDL. TCP for conversion. Click Convert. The file Sample TDL.tcp is converted to the new format retaining the original filename. The old format TCP is renamed as sample TDL.tcp.BAK. Note: The TDLs written for previous versions must be syntactically compatible to the Release 3.0 standards before you run the installer or the conversion tool. For example, Release 3.0 does not support partial named attributes.
